High Tech Campus Eindhoven, May 31, 2023
A new Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Hub was launched at High Tech Campus Eindhoven. This advanced hub grew out of the successful Flying Forward 2020 (FF2020) project and plays a crucial role in the development of a test site for urban drones: Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS), as well as an open innovation ecosystem for Urban Air Mobility.
The UAM Hub on Campus brings together developers of urban mobility solutions with strategic partners working on Urban Air Mobility innovations for the city of the future. In addition, it involves end users in integrating Urban Air Mobility into various security, inspection and delivery applications. This new, promising innovative cluster uses the test site at High Tech Campus Eindhoven to test and develop drone applications.

Ted van Hoof, Program Manager Urban Air Mobility Hub: "The recent European drone regulations open a wide range of opportunities for the use of drones in various urban applications, such as delivery, security and inspection. With the UAM Hub, we are helping organizations take advantage of these new opportunities and integrate drones into their daily operations. We accomplish this through innovative collaborative projects with technology developers and urban airspace stakeholders. This approach is unique within today's drone world."
Paul van Son, Innovation Manager High Tech Campus Eindhoven: "On the Campus, the various innovation hubs (such as the AI Innovation Center and the 5G hub Eindhoven) have now proven their value as a successful driver of Open Innovation. These hubs promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and joint projects, as well as providing the essential infrastructure. We proudly welcome the UAM Community to our Campus, because we believe in the future of this emerging industry and we can provide the perfect breeding ground for it."
