Motivo moves in with Enrise as an autonomous team, but continues to have offices in Zwolle on its own. An ambitious step in a new standard of organizing. The Amersfoort-based digital agency Enrise has been organizing itself through a unique form of self-management since 2017 and is now embracing for the first time a full team eager to organize itself in a similar way.

Motivo joins Enrise as an independent team. Clients continue to benefit from the specialist knowledge and skills of this online partner for healthcare and non-profit, but now with all the advantages offered by a collective of IT experts like Enrise.

"We are taking an ambitious leap forward by joining Enrise. As team Motivo, we are looking forward to not only moving our clients further in the coming years, but also being more in motion ourselves. As an autonomous team, we are now jointly responsible for our financial, commercial and human health. That feels under the wings of Enrise like going on your own in your big brother's backyard," says Celine Kooiker, Product Owner of Team Motivo.

Joining as a new step forward
Not a big company whose strategy is to gobble up smaller parties, but the other way around: it was team Motivo's choice to join the self-managing Enrise. Motivo, the Zwolle-based web agency that has spent the past decade working for healthcare and non-profit organizations, was in fact ready for a new step. Founder and owner Lennard Veldwijk was looking forward to new challenges as an entrepreneur and together with Hermen Heinen, owner of Enrise, they explored the possibilities.

Lennard Veldwijk (Motivo): "I couldn't just let go of my company, my clients and above all my people. It took some getting used to handing them over to the unprecedented freedom and responsibility that Enrise handles as a self-managing organization. But I relied throughout this process - and still do - on the experience of Enrise and Hermen, who have been doing this concept this way since 2017. It was special to see how employees themselves created their own, new labor contracts, determined salaries among themselves, and went along with the unlimited days off and other self-directed agreements and frameworks of this collective."

Motivo will remain the web agency for healthcare and non-profit organizations. Nor will they trade Zwolle for Amersfoort. As an autonomous team with their own specialist knowledge and expertise, the merger is a wonderful opportunity for each other to grow.

Hermen Heinen (Enrise): "We are extremely proud of the fact that this entire team has unanimously decided to join our collective. It has always been my ambition to people, teams and companies to join our collective. Not grow-for-growth is my motive in this, but I believe in our way of self-directed organizing and I grant it to everyone. We have welcomed Motivo with open arms and next year we will continue to grow together as 'Nice place for experts'."
