During the biennial aviation show at Le Bourget Airport in Paris, L&T Technology Services and Thales agreed to significantly reduce their carbon dioxide emissions and energy consumption: within their supply chain; in their business process; and by their customers, and in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. To this end, L&T Technology Services supports Thales with eco-friendly EU Ecodesign in the product development process; with smart traffic management for Thales customers - on land, at sea and in the air; and with reducing Thales´ own carbon footprint.

Thales is working with its strategic suppliers and L&T Technology Services to meet its carbon emission reduction targets. These have been validated by the SBTi Science Based Targets initiative, consistent with Paris Climate Agreement, and include:
50 % reduction in carbon dioxide emissions in the business process by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2040 (target 1)
50 % reduction in energy consumption in the business process by 2030 (goal 2)
15 % reduction in carbon dioxide emissions in the supply chain and by its customers by 2030 (goal 3)
