Dynatrace appoints Laura Heisman as CMO

Dynatrace, a leader in unified 'observability' and security, has appointed Laura Heisman as chief marketing officer (CMO), effective 16 January 2024. Laura succeeds Mike Maciag who has held this role at Dynatrace for five years. Maciag will remain with Dynatrace as a consultant until April 2024.

Heisman brings three decades of experience in reaching enterprises, software developers, consumers and business audiences. Her most recent role was CMO of VMware, where she led the global marketing organisation. Prior to joining VMware, she was a member of the GitHub executive leadership team, where she was vice president communications and corporate marketing. Heisman also spent over a decade at Citrix as vice president communications. Heisman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from San Diego State University. She is committed to women working in the technology industry and was a sponsor of female employee resource groups at both VMware, GitHub and Citrix.
