Veeam Backup & Replication v12 and Veeam ONE have both achieved international gold standard certification in cyber security and were included in the NIAP Product Compliant List (PCL)

The Veeam Data Platform from Veeam Software, a leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, has achieved Common Criteria certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) and was included in the NIAP Product Compliant List (PCL). This recognition is an important step in improving data protection and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive and critical information. Common Criteria certification assures partners, customers and governments of Veeam's commitment to quality and risk mitigation, and validates alignment with the most stringent cybersecurity regulations.

Common Criteria is the gold standard in cybersecurity. The certification was developed in collaboration with countries such as the UK, France, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore and the US. This international effort pools the expertise of these countries to create a unified framework for evaluating the security features of IT products. It is a demonstration of global cooperation against one common adversary: cybercriminals.

"Government agencies are increasingly deploying Veeam technologies. As these agencies remain an attractive target for cybercriminals who threaten national security, critical infrastructure, privacy and citizens, they are turning to the most reliable and proven solutions," said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. "Fighting cyber threats requires collaboration across sectors. The Common Criteria certification is a good example of how government agencies have come together to ensure technology meets the best standards. Veeam is committed to working with partners and alliances to innovate and present a united front against cyber threats and attacks. We are proud that Veeam is part of this global effort."

Achieving Common Criteria certification requires extensive testing, evaluation and validation. Every aspect of the product - from code to security mechanisms and operational functionality - is scrutinised to see if it meets the stringent criteria. The requirements of this certification process reflect the relentless efforts needed to strengthen cyber resilience as cyber attacks and ransomware threats continue to grow.

The Veeam Data Platform provides advanced data security, recovery and hybrid cloud capabilities across the entire IT environment - multi-cloud, virtual, hybrid, physical, SaaS (M365, Salesforce) and Kubernetes. Veeam Backup and Replication v12, the foundation for the Veeam Data Platform, provides secure backup and fast and reliable recovery from any cyber threat, including ransomware, to keep organisations resilient and running. This platform approach allows any environment, no matter how complex, to be secured and recovered quickly, quickly defeating ransomware attacks and ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability of DoD networks. Veeam Data Platform Advanced Edition combines the comprehensive backup and recovery features of theBackup & Replication with powerful monitoring, analysis, and compliance capabilities of Veeam ONE to provide users with intelligent monitoring and observation to identify and resolve any backup or recovery issues before they occur.
