Intermax, an IT service provider for socially critical sectors, has appointed Kimberley Hagens as commercial director. In her new role, Hagens is jointly responsible for the company's growth, focusing in particular on building successful commercial teams, optimising customer experiences and developing new product-market combinations.
Hagens made the move from PostNL, where she worked for 12.5 years. Hagens started there as a trainee, then held several positions centred on data and innovation. Her last role at PostNL was Commercial Director Data Solutions. According to Hagens, the move to Intermax comes at a good time: "My strengths include realising innovative plans and ideas. At PostNL, the tension between my innovative ambitions and the agility of the organisation to go along with them was sometimes great. At Intermax, there is more room for this; indeed, it is part of my job description. And, a very important point for me, Intermax helps organisations with a strong social character to achieve digital continuity and security. So I feel completely in place here."
Intermax is currently going through an important growth phase. Thanks to focused attention to its customers and broadening services, the company has developed a solid portfolio that fits well with demand from sectors that are part of the critical infrastructure. Hagens' job is to develop this further. "I am responsible for the Sales, Service Management, Marketing and Portfolio management teams. My goal is to make these teams work well together and strengthen them further. I am very enthusiastic about leading and bringing groups together. Successful teams make business success, I am convinced of that."
Hagens will also pay close attention to Intermax's growth ambitions. For instance, the company wants to further differentiate itself in the healthcare sector. "It is very relevant that we have good insight into how IT is used in healthcare. This allows us to build new services around applications that seamlessly match what healthcare really needs. In this way, we improve efficiency with innovative applications, leaving more time for real care at the bedside. To realise this, we will also look for parties to cooperate with."
Besides healthcare, there are certainly growth ambitions in other sectors. Hagens: "There are many organisations in the Netherlands for whom security and digital continuity are crucial, where a cyber attack or downtime almost immediately leads to social unrest. At Intermax, we are equipped to deliver crisis-proof IT to these types of organisations. I therefore look forward to introducing more of these organisations to the Intermax way."
Sander Winthagen, managing director of Intermax, is very excited about the appointment of the new commercial director. "Kimberley has a good eye for the human side of processes. She not only sees what the strengths of team members are, but also looks at how our solutions work for users. This is of course essential for our customers, as a solution stands or falls on the acceptance of staff and the effects on their customers. Partly thanks to Kimberley's knowledge and commitment, we will be even better able to match our offering to the IT issues of existing and new customers and thus realise Intermax's growth ambitions."
